Born in Elizabethtown, Johnstown District, Upper Canada, daughter of Amos Griswald and Eleanor Stotts. LDS baptism in 1837 by Parley P. Pratt; immigration to Kirtland, Ohio, 1838; removal to Far West, Missouri, then to Illinois; martyrdom of Joseph Smith; exodus west; temporary location on the Des Moines River, in Lynn County, Missouri, and at Council Bluffs, Iowa; arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, 1852; family data; settlement in American Fork, Utah.
